Peaches and Nectarines grower – growth qualities, fertiliser effect and reduced inputs : effects of CropAid AntiFrost MAX®, France, 2024

In 2023, Peaches and Nectarine growers of a 180Ha commercial orchard in the South of France,
used – CropAid AntiFrost MAX®.

They were very happy with the benefits that the product had on the yield and quality of their crops.  After their results using the product, they placed a significant repeat order the following season.

They applied the product instead of their usual fertiliser and as a preventative measure, but did not experience any frost.  Despite this, they were very pleased with the outcome and will be ordering again.  AntiFrost MAX® is an advanced formulation of the natural biostimulant primarily formulated for frost protection, however, it also has a multitude of other benefits for the crop.  Co-owner Laurent Favel, met with Aydin Tanseli, co-founder and CEO of CropAid International at Fruit Logistica 2024.

Mr. Favel, reported the results on peaches and nectarines saying:

“We applied the product 4 times, and we removed all other strengthening products. The foliage was very beautiful and the fruits during cell multiplication had good development.”

Mr. Tanseli explained the following about AntiFrost MAX :

“AntiFrost MAX contains the beneficial bacteria Thiobacillus spp. which produce the protein rusticyanin along with other proteins and enzymes. When applied to crops, this organic material stimulates the plants to produce and store their own anti-freeze proteins which increase the plant’s tolerance to cold and frost. However, if there is no or little frost, the stored or surplus anti-freeze proteins will be converted into nutrition for the plant. This guarantees benefits for applying AntiFrost MAX even in an event where there is no frost.”
